5th Edition of Dining With the Stars with 53 Chefs from Europe for a Tropical Holiday Full of Culinary Experiences

“Dining with the Stars”, the gourmet event that brings the star chefs of the Jeunes Restaurateurs (JRE) to the kitchens of the most exclusive Diamonds Resorts of the Planhotel Hospitality Group, will have its 5th edition in 2019 and for the first time with a Winter Edition and a Summer Edition. The Resorts participating will be Diamonds Athuruga and Diamonds Thudufushi in the Maldives and Diamonds Star of the East in Zanzibar.

To inaugurate the 2019 Edition of Dining with the Stars the group brings two exceptional chefs, Andrea Berton of the Milanese restaurant by the same name who will be in Diamonds Athuruga from December 28th to 5th January 2019, and Chicco Cerea of the 3-Michelin star “Da Vittorio” restaurant in Brusaporto, that will be in Diamonds Thudufushi from January 3rd to January 5th.


From January to April and from July to August 2019, 53 talents of the JRE, the internationally recognized association of young talented chefs, will alternate each spending a week in the kitchens of Diamonds Resorts, offering guests a multi-sensory experience.

In Maldives the experience will include Gourmet Gala Dinner with signature dishes, Show-cooking session at the resort’s main restaurant and a special “Chef’s Table” evening where the chef will cook with the guests. 


In Zanzibar the experience will include Gourmet Gala Dinner with signature dishes at Ocean Blue Restaurant, Cooking Class with JRE chefs, Show Cooking and Four-handed dinner with JRE chef and the resort’s executive chef, Bjorn Van Den Oever.
