Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Concludes the 1 st Round of the Hilton ISEA F&B Masters Competition

The Hilton F&B Masters aims to recognize, celebrate and bring to light the talent and contribution of Team Members, spotlighting their hard work, passion and commitment.

Since its inception in 2014, the Hilton South East Asia & India (ISEA) F&B Masters discovers, develops and distinguishes the best F&B talents across Hilton’s portfolio of properties in this region. It has given numerous participating team members across Southeast Asia and India the opportunity to develop their skills and creativity in their chosen F&B discipline. Participants can compete in any of the five F&B challenges – namely:

Barista Cup

Participants will prepare three coffees – one espresso, one cappuccino, and one free-style specialty coffee – and five latte art options

Bar Cup

Participants will then prepare three cocktails – one being their own signature cocktail, and two drawn from a hat containing options for Short Drinks and Long Drinks Culinary, Dessert and Sommelier – and be in the running to win exceptional once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

The competition consists of 3 rounds: Hotel Level, Country Level and Regional Finals. The winners of the Hilton ISEA F&B Masters – Hotel Level, will represent their respective hotels at the Country Level round. The first round of the competition for Conrad Maldives Rangali Island was concluded on September 20, 2018 and the winners have been chosen.

At the Hilton ISEA F&B Masters 2017/2018, over 800 team members across more than 40 Hilton properties in the region participated. One winner was selected from each discipline, and received an exclusive training experience in a city and venue renowned for quality and innovation related to their craft. These winners will gain wonderful insights to improve their craft and enjoy meaningful experiences while rubbing shoulders with maestros.

The winner of each cup will be selected based on taste and presentation of food, overall technique, creative use of common work space and list of black box ingredients, cleanliness of work environment, and finally, professionalism when using shared equipment.
