Komandoo Maldives has introduced Riccardo Rizzoli, who has been based in the Maldives the past 9 years as the resort's new Executive Chef.
"It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to the resort’s new Executive Chef, Riccardo Rizzoli, whose passion for cuisine and excellent guest feedback are already a telltale sign of Komandoo further developing as a resort with outstanding dining." Komandoo resort said in a statement.
Riccardo gained his first insights into the wonderful world of gastronomy at the early age of 12 when helping out at his father’s restaurant; there was no looking back for him, Riccardo wanted to become a chef himself! After his education in Genova, his professional path led him from San Francisco and Sardinia to Milano, Maryland, Monte Carlo, and Colombo, where he collaborated with the famous world’s oldest and largest gastronomic society, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Guests can enjoy Riccardo and his team's culinary creations at the resort's Aqua and Falhu restaurants, beach dinners and as in-villa service at the resort.
Opened in November 1998 as the second resort in the famous Lhaviyani Atoll, Komandoo is 100 meters wide and 500 meters with a beautiful lagoon all around the island and a stunning house reef close by which is superb for snorkeling. The vegetation is rich and green with a magnificent 30-year old coconut palm plantation as its highlight.
