Kuredu inaugurated the opening ceremony of the 30th Kuredu Anniversary Cup 2018 on 18th November 2018 at the FIFA regulated, 11-a-side pitch football stadium. A football stadium in paradise!
The spectacular event began in the evening 1600HRS and was concluded at 1800HRS.
Hosted by the HR manager, Vandana Rao and sports manager, the event featured an outstanding dance performance & a remarkable parade by HODs and AHODs. Followed by another astonishing parade by the staff working at Kuredu from 20 different countries!
The staff’s parade baring their noble national flags and stunning national dresses brought cheers and applause from the hundreds of spectators watching. Afterward, the Samaasa Group displayed a traditional Maldivian Boduberu performance that fired everyone up!
Chief Guest of the ceremony, Mr. Philip then addressed everyone, followed by another speech from the General Manager at Kuredu, Patrick De Staercke.

· Soneva Jani
· Iru Fushi
The first match between Kuredu AFC and Soneva Fushi kicked off at 1700HRS, where another dance was performed in the half-time break.
Stalls with food, drinks and jerseys were available for spectators and according to the HR manager – Vandana Rao, Kuredu celebrates the anniversary every year. However, this year they decided to make greater and splendid since its Kuredu’s 30th Anniversary. She added the tournament will finish on 26th December 2018.
Kuredu recently hosted a series of anniversary giveaway competitions where the lucky winners received a free holiday to the resort. The first competition was to answer a simple question. For the second competition it was to hold a picture at an area of natural beauty, next to a famous landmark, or with your favorite celebrity, whilst for the final competition, it was to submit a picture showing your best Mardi Gras outfit.
