Philippe Leboeuf, Vice President of Operations and General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Paris, has been named 2018 Best Independent Hotelier of the World. Leboeuf will be presented with his award at the 38th annual Hotelier of the World Awards at Lotte New York Palace, New York, on 12 November 2018. The main motive of the award is to honor excellence in hospitality leaderships. Well known as the world’s best hotelier among Hotels magazine readers, Philippe is an ever growing figure in European hospitality and the second French national to have received the award, following Hervé Houdré, in 2006
The award acknowledges individuals according to well-defined standards of service, general operational excellence, creativity in management and their role to the greater good of global hotel industry.
With more than 25 years of senior management experience in the luxury hotel sector, Philippe previously worked in some of the industry’s key locations globally. He joined Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group as a General Manager from 2007 to 2010
