Malé, Maldives – Dhiraagu has introduced unlimited home broadband internet packages in the Maldives, marking a significant milestone in the country’s telecommunications sector. The announcement was made at a special ceremony held tonight at the Dhiraagu Head Office.
Speaking at the event, Dhiraagu’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ali Riyaz, highlighted the company’s commitment to meeting customer needs through innovation.
“Customers don’t want to worry about checking their remaining data while streaming or thinking about limitations. We are advancing this sector with packages that align with customer demands,” said Riyaz. He emphasized that the company has made substantial investments to enhance service quality, ensuring the new packages meet the expectations of their users.
The newly launched packages offer uninterrupted internet access at high speeds throughout the month, without any throttling. This marks a departure from previously available “unlimited” packages, where data limits led to reduced speeds after a set threshold was reached.
The unlimited packages introduced tonight include speeds of 1 Gbps, 400 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 30 Mbps, and 20 Mbps. Customers can now enjoy consistent speeds without worrying about running out of data.
To further enhance customer experiences, Dhiraagu’s Customer Value Manager for Broadband and Devices, Ahmed Ishan, announced a speed upgrade for existing fibre broadband customers starting tomorrow.
“All customers currently on 50 Mbps unlimited will be upgraded to 100 Mbps at no additional cost. Customers on 100 Mbps limited plans will be upgraded to 200 Mbps, and those on 200 Mbps will move to 400 Mbps, all without any extra charges. Customers will continue paying their current rates,” said Ishan.
Dhiraagu Fibre Broadband Network, renowned for its fastest speeds and widest coverage in the Maldives, continues to lead the industry with its innovative offerings. The introduction of these new packages is expected to transform the way customers experience the internet in the Maldives, particularly for streaming and other high-demand activities.
This launch reaffirms Dhiraagu’s position as a customer-focused company committed to advancing the telecommunications landscape in the Maldives.
