By Mr. Ismail Shareef, the General Manager of AlShali Marine Maldives, has been appointed as the President of the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) for the 2025–2027 term.
The appointment was welcomed by industry stakeholders, with the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) extending its congratulations to Mr. Shareef and the newly elected Executive Board of NBAM.
In a statement, MATATO highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between travel agents, tour operators, and the boating sector to ensure seamless visitor experiences and promote sustainable growth within Maldives tourism.
Under Mr. Shareef’s leadership, the NBAM is expected to further enhance industry coordination, uphold professional standards within the boating sector, and contribute to the continued development of marine and nautical tourism—one of the Maldives’ most vital tourism segments.
MATATO reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with NBAM and its new leadership to support shared goals and advance the long-term growth of the Maldivian tourism industry.
