The 18th edition of Hotel Asia International Exhibition and Culinary Challenge 2024 has officially come to a close with a dazzling award ceremony and business gathering held at Crossroads Maldives this Thursday. The event was the perfect culmination of five days of exhibitions, live demonstrations and competition where industry stakeholders and aficionados gathered under one roof.
The Maldives Exhibition & Conference Services (MECS) did not spare any effort for this year’s rendition of the annual event as culinary challenges were heating up the kitchens at the FHTS Maldives National University as well as Dharubaaruge from 12 to 15 of May. The Hotel Asia International Exhibition and Culinary Challenge is where procurement departments in Maldivian hospitality meet with suppliers and international stakeholders in the export and import field. Food-artists of all levels or experience and passions showcased the very best they had to offer, before a panel of world-class group judges. These members hailed from institutions such as the Chefs Guild of Maldives, Worldchefs Executive Board and the
Singapore Pastry Alliance as well as Chef’s Association. Hotel development executives rubbed shoulders with General Managers of five star resorts and culinary professionals at this event which is held annually and gathers a significant amount of visitors internationally as well as domestically.
