Air Service World Congress 2024 Begins Today in the Maldives

Malé, Maldives – July 9, 2024 – The skies over the Maldives are filled with excitement as the prestigious Air Service World Congress (ASWC) 2024 begins today, marking the first time this event is held in the archipelago nation.

This major milestone for the Maldivian aviation industry gathers approximately 300 leaders from airports, airlines, route development teams, aviation suppliers, and tourism representatives. The scenic Kurumba Maldives serves as the picturesque venue for this three-day event (July 9-11), encouraging collaboration and shaping the future of global air travel through a blend of formal discussions and informal networking opportunities.

“We invite all stakeholders to participate and build long-standing business relationships,” said Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), emphasizing the event’s potential to generate new business opportunities and strengthen industry connections.

The Air Service World Congress 2024 features an impressive lineup of partners, including Sheraton Maldives and Malahini as resort partners, Kurumba Maldives as the venue partner, and Dhiraagu as the digital partner.
