Beond to Offer the Apple Vision Pro to Create an Immersive Inflight Entertainment Experience with the Innovation

Beond, the world’s first premium leisure airline, today announced it will offer the ground-breaking Apple Vision Pro to select passengers on its flights to the Maldives. Passengers will enjoy Beond’s unrivalled onboard content, coupled with immersive experiences showcasing the best of Maldives.

The world’s first premium leisure airline will offer Apple’s ground-breaking content experience beginning in July 2024

Beond’s Chairman and CEO, Tero Taskila, said: “The Apple Vision Pro will transform the inflight entertainment experience, and we will be first to offer it to select passengers. In addition to our existing and ever-growing library of inflight content such as movies and games, Beond will showcase stunning resort destinations and activities in the Maldives.”

The airline is collaborating with partners in the Maldives to create exclusive footage for the Apple Vision Pro headsets. Passengers can expect stunning virtual tours of resorts and glimpses into the diverse activities available in the island nation.

“Offering the Apple Vision Pro is another step in our vision of delivering a premium travel experience to our customers, from the start to finish of their journey. We’re proud to be the first airline to deploy the technology” said Tero Taskila.

The news follows the receipt of Beond’s second aircraft last week, and Beond’s successful launch of commercial passenger services in 2023 from Munich, Zurich, and Riyadh to Malé, Maldives. Beond will debut flights from Milan, Dubai, and Bangkok to the Maldives in mid-2024, in an all-lay flat seating configuration.

Founded by aviation veterans Max Nilov, Tero Taskila and Sascha Feuerherd in January 2022, Beond is a joint venture formed by the investment firm Arabesque and the Maldivian hospitality company SIMDI Group.

Luxury at its finest; Beond invites its passengers to enjoy the flying experience with extra room, comfort, and state-of-the-art interior technology. The passengers will have a great time flying with the high service quality, privacy, and personal attention to their needs and preferences.

The Maldives-based startup is not just content with changing current travel norms; Beond intends to expand its fleet to 32 aircraft and serve 60 destinations within the next five years, including adding new Airbus A321 jets into their fleet this year.
