The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has declared and welcomed their newest managing director, Fathimath Thaufeeg.
In the areas of administration, human resources, procurement, and logistics, Fathimath Thaufeeq contributes an extensive amount of experience and knowledge. She is proficient in a variety of fields, such as environmental protection, waste management, and marine services.
Fatimath Thaufeeq graduated from the University of the West of England with a Master of Business Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.
The Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is the country’s national tourism office. Its mission is to promote quality and sustainable growth in the local tourism industry to deliver long-term economic, social, and cultural benefits to the country. Under the theme of the Maldives…the Sunny Side of Life, the MMPRC is tasked with carrying out promotional activities to become the world’s most preferred island destination.
Ibrahim Faisal, the minister of tourism, has declared that the president intends to rename MMPRC.
“I would like to take this opportunity to mention that President Muizzu is very keen to rebrand the MMPRC. When the new managing director is appointed, the work will commence soon.”
According to the minister, after the rebranding, the MMPRC will shape its efforts to increase tourist arrivals by exploring new markets instead of focusing only on existing markets.
