This transformative project is part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to enhance food security and modernize the nation’s agricultural sector.
The government’s allocation of 80,000 acres of land in Thoddoo underscores its commitment to empowering youth and fostering economic growth. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, members of the Thoddoo Council, and senior officials of MNU.

The newly established faculty will house four key departments:
- Horticulture
- Plant Protection
- Soil and Water Management
- Food Sciences and Technology
