Maldives Police Service Seeks Public Assistance in Fraud Investigation

The Maldives Police Service has launched an appeal for public assistance in the investigation of a fraud case involving the “Gedhoruveriya – Binveriya” scheme. The authorities have urged individuals with any relevant information, photos, videos, or documents regarding suspicious activities connected to this case to submit them via their official Evidence Submission Portal.

The online portal, accessible at evidence.police.gov.mv, allows members of the public to share information anonymously or by providing contact details. The police emphasize that sharing contact details can aid investigators and prosecutors in utilizing the submitted evidence more effectively.

According to the official statement, the public’s cooperation is crucial in expediting the investigation and ensuring justice. Individuals submitting information will be required to verify their identity through an OTP sent via mobile phone or email, ensuring secure communication.

The Maldives Police Service expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in combating fraudulent activities and maintaining community safety. This marks yet another effort by the authorities to engage citizens in addressing issues affecting the nation.
