The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), MATATO collaborated to highlight the Maldives’ diversified tourist offers at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
Travel Mart 2024 was held from August 27 to 29 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The marketing of “Destination Maldives” during this three-day event was concentrated on displaying the country’s distinctive terrain, diverse undersea marine life, and kinds of stay possibilities, strengthening our position as a top worldwide destination.
The Maldives’ participation at this event comprised MMPRC’s Chairperson, Mr. Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz, MMPRC’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO and MD) Mr. Ibrahim Shiuree, MATATO’s CEO Mrs. Aminath Suzan, and major industry Partners include Dhigufaru Island Resort, Furaveri Maldives, Inner Maldives, Plumeria, Ryoko Maldives, Stone Hotels Maldives, Sun Siyam Travels, and Kaani Hotels and Resorts. Each showed numerous experiences that the Maldives provides, from quiet island getaways to fascinating aquatic excursions, reassuring guests from all over the world why the Sunny Side of Life remains a place that caters to all types of travellers “With Tourism being the largest economic industry in the Maldives, participation in this fair has helped us reinforce our commitment to promoting our tourism assets and engaging with international stakeholders to drive sustainable growth in the industry,” Mr. Shiuree CEO & MD of MMPRC stated.
PATA Travel Mart 2024 commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Pacific Asia Travel Association. (PATA) was established in Thailand. The gathering provided unprecedented networking opportunities. contracting prospects, including a one-day seminar, a B2B Travel Mart, and several Networking sessions. The event was promoted as a forum for travel and tourism organizations to reach decision-makers, broaden their networks, and pursue new Business relationships.
