Island Aviation has announced a new ticket promotion for the national airline, offering reduced fares to three key destinations in China—Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai.
The promotion, valid from October 28 to November 15, allows passengers traveling from Malé to any of the three Chinese cities to purchase return tickets for USD 499. According to the airline, the move is aimed at making travel more accessible for Maldivians, especially families and business travelers.
In its statement, Island Aviation highlighted that flight schedules have been arranged for maximum convenience. Outbound flights from Malé are set to depart in the morning, while return flights are also scheduled to arrive in Malé during morning hours, allowing for seamless domestic flight connections.

The airline further noted that Maldivians traveling to China benefit from a 30-day visa on arrival in all three cities, adding to the ease of travel. All flights to Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai will be operated using the airline’s new wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft, ensuring enhanced comfort and capacity.
This latest initiative reflects Island Aviation’s efforts to strengthen connectivity between the Maldives and China, one of the country’s key tourism and business partners.
