Minister Adam Shareef Umar Applauds Smooth Distribution of Ramadan Gifts on February 22

On the evening of February 22, 2025, Minister of Cities, Local Government & Public Works Adam Shareef Umar praised the seamless and efficient distribution of Ramadan gifts across the region. The initiative, which began earlier this month, has been lauded for its smooth execution, fostering optimism as communities prepare for the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement, Minister Umar outlined several updates to the token issuance system, set to resume at 18:00 tonight, aimed at enhancing convenience for the public. These changes include increasing the number of tokens issued to each distribution center to improve access, allowing individuals who received tokens for a later date to reschedule to an earlier time for added flexibility, and streamlining token collection processes to address and resolve any issues efficiently.

“Tokens will be issued tonight, and those who already have tokens can continue using them without any disruption,” Minister Umar emphasized. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring every household receives Ramadan gifts before the start of the holy month, stating, “Our goal is to ensure no one is left out. These gifts symbolize unity and support, and we are dedicated to making this a reality for all.”

With Ramadan approaching, the minister’s leadership in overseeing this initiative reflects a strong commitment to community welfare and tradition. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about local distribution schedules as the program continues to roll out.
