MMPRC Showcases the Sunny Side of Life to Indian Travel Trade at OTM Mumbai 2025

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives), along with 38 industry partners showcased the Sunny Side of Life at OTM Mumbai 2025, the leading travel trade show in India and Asia. The event took place from 30th January 2025 to 1st February 2025, at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

OTM is one of the largest international gatherings of travel trade buyers and professionals held in India. The event provided a significant platform for industry partners to provide the latest information about their products and services. Participation at OTM assisted in connecting with the Indian travel trade, sharing the latest travel updates of the Maldives and our unique tourism products, services, and experiences. Throughout OTM 2025, MMPRC aimed to strengthen the Maldives presence in the Indian market. Along with our industry partners, MMPRC showcased the Maldives as the ultimate short haul destination for all segments of the Indian tourists.

There were a wide array of activities at the Maldives stand at OTM 2025, including media interviews; meetings with key travel trade professionals and other partners; and other activities. The Maldives Stand at the event exhibited the diverse experiences and the breathtaking panoramas of the destination.

India was the 6th top source market to the Maldives last year with 130,805 arrivals- 6.4% of the total market share. MMPRC consistently conducts various promotional activities targeting the Indian market. In 2024, activities conducted include Discover Maldives Webinar 2024, PR Activities, OTM 2024, SATTE 2024, Influencer familiarisation trips, Explore Maldives Roadshow (with Manta Air), Welcome India Roadshow, Campaign with Globalspa (India), and Maldives India Networking Event. For 2025, activities such as digital and social media campaigns; participation in major fairs and exhibitions; media interviews; ad campaigns; TV and online programmes; and familiarisation trips are planned to be held throughout the year to increase arrivals and maintain destination momentum in the Indian market. These marketing initiatives aim to solidify the Maldives’ brand presence as the top dream vacation destination for Indian travellers.
