By Kadriorg, Estonia – January 13, 2025: The President of Estonia, His Excellency Dr. Alar Karis, formally welcomed His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives and his delegation during an official ceremony held this afternoon at the Presidential Palace in Kadriorg. The visit is part of President Dr. Muizzu’s official tour of Estonia at the invitation of the Estonian President.
The ceremony began with the Estonian military band playing the national anthems of both nations, symbolizing the strong ties between the two countries. Following the musical tribute, President Dr. Muizzu and President Dr. Karis inspected the Guard of Honour, reflecting the mutual respect and goodwill shared by the Maldives and Estonia.
During the event, President Dr. Muizzu was introduced to prominent Estonian dignitaries, followed by the introduction of Maldivian delegates to President Dr. Karis. A commemorative photo was taken to mark the occasion, and President Dr. Muizzu later signed the prestigious Visitor’s Book at the Presidential Palace.
