Escape into a world of freedom on Baros Maldives’ traditional Maldivian Dhoni, Nooma and enjoy your choice of an Indian Ocean journey.
The island of Baros is located in the Republic of the Maldives, at the heart of the Indian Ocean. A tropical paradise amidst turquoise seas, our Maldives beach resort lies in the southern reaches of North Malé Atoll – a beautiful seascape like nowhere else on Earth, yet within a short speedboat ride of the Maldives’ international airport.
Baros is in the same atoll as the international airport so there’s no need to wait for a seaplane to ferry you there. While visitors bound for distant atolls have to queue for a transfer flight, you’ll be enjoying an enchanting 25-minute speedboat ride from the airport island direct to your villa.
As one of the first resorts to open in the Maldives, Baros set the standard to which other Maldives Luxury Resorts aspire. Baros Maldives first welcomed guests to its shores some 46 years ago. It was a time when only those “in the know” spoke of this idyllic destination, when locals travelled from island to island on wooden dhoni sailboats and when the Maldives communicated with the world by Morse code.
While much has certainly changed since then, some of the important things have stayed the same; Baros remains a place of astonishing natural beauty and is as magical as ever.
Reflecting on its past, the Nooma welcomes all guests to the ultimate cruise adventure of a life-time with its curated spa treatments and destination dining adventures created especially to offer an authentic experience.
The Nooma experience package offers a personal expert therapist with optional Maldivian, Sri Lankan or Indian Abhyanga and Shirodhara treatments. The cruise and treatments start from 05:30pm to 06:30pm where guests can enjoy the picturesque view of the sun setting on the horizon while rejuvenating their body and soul.
The dinner will begin from 06:30pm onwards. Guests will dine from the curated four-course menu from the cuisine option from their choosing of Maldivian, Indian or Sri Lankan. Gourmet canapes and cocktails will be served throughout the cruise.
