Officials from Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) was awarded the guests’ choice award at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2018 gala held on Friday, September 20th at the Aloft Kathmandu Thamel.
Leeli Lounge, situated on the first level of the departure terminal at the airport, adjacent to the duty-free section, provides an amazing panorama view of the airport. It provides tourists with cozy sitting in an elegant peaceful setting while providing an international menu of cuisine and refreshments.
The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2024 were held in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Hotel Association of Nepal. Gulfcraft was the Platinum Partner for this year’s event, with Hotels & Resorts Investments Maldives (HARIM), Velana International Airport, and The Hawks as Gold Partners. Bizspoke and Resort Life Travel were the Silver Partners, and Allied Insurance was the Insurance Partner.
The competition was exceptionally intense with over 400 nominations for this edition. The event was graced by the Honorable Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, and Mr. Deepak Joshi, CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). Members of the NTB board and distinguished members of Nepal’s travel sector were also present, adding to the grandeur of the celebration of South Asian hospitality excellence. SATA 2024 took place in Kathmandu, supported by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN).
Since 2016, the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) have been acknowledging the finest in South Asia’s hospitality and travel industry. This esteemed annual event celebrates outstanding organizations and individuals across a broad spectrum of categories.
