By A lazy lagoon kisses the shore of a beautiful dwindling stretch of pure white sand. The owner of the “Most viewed Youtube video in Maldives”, Adam Haleem or @Edam_edin decided to pursue his interest in photography back in 2016 when he left resort employment, opened an instagram page and picked up “a basic nikon”.
The first shots featured some of his favorite scenery with sunsets, ”Yes I like sunsets a lot but later on developed a liking for day photos especially when viewed with a drone”.
Travel became his muse as he pointed his well-trained lenses to continue taking photos “I love traveling and I do travel a lot so the photos just keep coming”. Naming China and Dubai as his current favorite destinations abroad, he says that there is nothing like the islands of Baa Atoll where he has visited most frequently. “… I specifically like B. Fulhadhoo”.
As to his advice for anyone thinking of taking the leap into this profession, he says that the time is now. “This profession gives a good income, especially now with the introduction of e-wallet. Resorts also continuously reach out for content so it is a good field to venture into”.

At the time of this article, Edam has the record for the “Most viewed Youtube video in Maldives” with 16 million views, 177,000 followers on instagram (@Edam_edin) and been featured in publications such as Forbes and Travel and Leisure Asia.
