The Tourism Ministry’s statistics report shows that 1.3 million individuals have visited the Maldives. According to 2023 statistics, 1.26 million guests arrived, however, this year there is a growth of 128,460 guests
While there is an increase in the number of travelers, we are getting this year, the most travelers have arrived from China, with over 200,000.

- Russia – 150,000 tourists
- UK – 119,600 tourists
- Italy – 102,500 tourists
- Germany – 98,000 tourists
- India – 83,200 tourists
- United States – 47,200 tourists
- France – 39,600 tourists
- Spain – 30,700 tourists
- Switzerland – 26,000 tourists
The Maldives presently obtains an average of 5,518 tourists per day.
The Maldives currently operate 1,223 tourism facilities, comprising 174 resorts, 882 guesthouses, 153 safaris, and 14 hotels.
