Nazmul Islam, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Maldives, and officials from the Bangladesh High Commission. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the two sides and identifying new opportunities to promote tourism and strengthen bilateral engagement.
The meeting comes at a time when Maldives and Bangladesh are enjoying increasingly close diplomatic relations. While Bangladesh has long been one of the Maldives’ closest regional partners through its skilled workforce and people-to-people connections, tourism is now emerging as another promising area for collaboration.
